Dear all at 112,

It is time I wrote again, so here goes for a short note I received two letters from you last month also a cable – thankyou very much.  The letters were written on March 4th, 15th the later arriving on May 11th, the other one on May 25th, so they didn’t take long to get here.  I received quite a large mail the last week in May – 15 letters, 6 cables 8 parcels (Yvonne (2), Ruth, Beryl, Lisa, Mrs Bradshaw, Home & S.A. Comforts, so consider myself very lucky. I have done abit of flying lately – with my new crew.  Sid has turned out to be a good pilot, I was mighty lucky to get someone I know like that. In case my other letter went astray (written 29/4/43), he is Sid Forrester, from Cross Roads, Fullarton – an old U Sch S mate. The rest of the crew are good chaps too, and we get on well together I was over at Lichfield on Sunday – rode across on a bike, 20 miles, just like old times.  Delicia had the day off too, so we had quite a good time she is Yvonnes cousin, & is stationed there with the ATS. We have been out together a bit since I met her – she is wonderful company.  Her husband is in Canada.  I am about 20 miles form there now, so it isn’t quite as good as when I was in walking distance, but with a bike it isn’t too bad.  Leave isn’t too plentiful – I expect a week next month, after I finish here.  Received my flight Sgt the other day – backdated 13 months, at 1/- per day to, so it is very acceptable.  Must close now, glad to know you are all well the Rsham air must have agreed with A Eva.  Remember me to Miss Weaver.

Love from Ewin.
